The music team includes vocalists and instrumentalists who facilitate worship at gatherings throughout all ministries of Trinity Church. Whether leading children, youth, adults, men or women, small groups or large groups, our goal is to “Sing the glory of his name; make his praise glorious” (Psalm 66:2 NIV). We are committed to bringing up the next generation of worship musicians through mentoring relationships. If you are a growing musician at any level of ability, there is a place for you to serve the Lord and his people at Trinity.
Worship Center Bands
There are 5 bands that correspond with the week of the month. Each band has a team leader who partners with the Pastor of Worship Ministries to develop the team musically, plan the worship sets, rehearse the band and lead worship on Sunday. A low-key, non-threatening audition is required, and bands are re-formed annually in September. Contact Bill Born, bborn@trinityonline.org.
ONE
Team Leader, John Owens is a kindred spirit as a worshiper. He loves leading the church to wholeheartedly express praise to God and tends to lean toward worship anthems. He has been part of the Trinity church family for a year. Worship leader, Tim Polen is my hype-man. He has a contagious love for the Lord and expresses it through music whenever and wherever asked. Currently he is drumming on the “ONE” team. He knew that Trinity was “home” the first time he walked through the doors to, Celebrate Jesus, Celebrate! in 2001. TWO
Team leaders, Scott & Sharon Strum have been serving in worship ministries together @ Trinity Church since their days in the pre-med program at Loma Linda University in the early 90’s. They are diverse in their musical training and tastes, but lean toward high energy worship music. They also enjoy creating their own arrangements of songs as well as writing originals. They are deeply committed to mentoring younger worship leaders and do this in part through their “other” band, Strangers & Aliens. Team TWO iTunes Playlist

Team leader, Tony Wilcox is my brother of soul. With a love for worship music that deeply touches his heart, Tony brings joyful energy and soulful rhythm to our worship services. FOUR
Team leader, Steve Carroll, brings a relaxed and simple feel to our worship services. A professional songwriter, he enjoys many genres of music, but leans toward folk and old-time-gospel. He has been a worship leader for our college ministry, Praxis, for the past 3 years and was a worship leader in Florida for 6 years before that. FIVE
Team leader, David Finley has been a long-time musician and worship leader at Trinity since he started attending here in 1996. He loves to lead the church in worship using both new and old songs, and leans toward a folk and indie feel. He also provides worship leadership in our Children’s Ministry.
Children’s Ministry Worship Teams – (TLC)
Small teams of instrumentalists & vocalists travel around our campus on Sunday mornings, spending 10-15 minutes in our children’s Sunday School classes leading kids in interactive, high-energy worship. Strangers & Aliens
Strangers and Aliens is a revivalist children’s ministry worship band. We long for kids to love Jesus and glorify Him with all their heart, soul, mind and strength. We also seek to share Christ with the lost so they will be saved. We do this through fun, upbeat Christ-centered worship songs and moves that engage our young audiences.
