The music team includes vocalists and instrumentalists who facilitate worship at gatherings throughout all ministries of Trinity Church. Whether leading children, youth, adults, men or women, small groups or large groups, our goal is to “sing the glory of his name; give to him glorious praise!” (Psalm 66:2 ESV). We are committed to bringing up the next generation of worship musicians through mentoring relationships. If you are a growing musician at any level of ability, there is a place for you to serve the Lord and his people at Trinity.
Worship Center Bands
We have one team from which we form a different band each week. Rehearsals are usually on Monday nights, 7 – 9:30 pm. Each week has a team leader who partners with the Pastor of Worship Ministries to develop the team musically, plan the worship sets, rehearse the band and lead worship on Sunday. A low-key, non-threatening audition is required. Contact Bill Born, firstname.lastname@example.org.
Team leader, Gail Rogers, began singing with the Trinity worship team while in college and has since grown into a worship leader. She loves planning worship sets that convey convicting biblical truth about God, inspiring reverence and awe and inviting trust and intimacy with Christ. Gail keeps it real, expressing and leading us to praise the Lord with a transparent heart. She also feels at home leading women in worship on Monday nights.
Team leader, Sharon Strum, and her husband Scott have been serving in worship ministries at Trinity Church since their days in the pre-med program at Loma Linda University in the early 90s. They are diverse in their musical training and tastes, but lean toward high energy worship music. They also enjoy creating their own arrangements of songs as well as writing originals. They are deeply committed to mentoring younger worship leaders and do this in part through their “other” band, Strangers & Aliens.
Team leader, Tim Polen, is my hype-man. He has a contagious love for the Lord and expresses it through music whenever and wherever asked. He knew that Trinity was “home” the first time he walked through the doors to “Celebrate Jesus, Celebrate!” in 2001. His main goal is to lead hearts into a deep, intimate and joyful communion with our Lord.
Team leader, Chris Doughty, brings a youthful energy and passion to our worship service. He was mentored as a worship musician beginning in Trinity’s middle school ministry. Becoming accomplished in the application of six strings to nearly every genre of music lends for variety and exceptional musicality each week. Forsaking foofy pedals, Chris prefers simplicity and is most at home with his Les Paul and Marshall amp singing and playing his heart out to the Lord. Chris also heads up our high school worship ministry, serving as an important link to our students as they develop their skills and learn to use them to minister to others.
Children’s Ministry Worship Teams (TLC)
Small teams of instrumentalists and vocalists travel around our campus on Sunday mornings, spending 10-15 minutes in our children’s Sunday School classes leading kids in interactive, high-energy worship. Each team has an adult leader as well as middle school or high school student leaders. For more information contact Ashley Ruiz, email@example.com.

Strangers & Aliens
Strangers and Aliens is a revivalist children’s ministry worship band. We long for kids to love Jesus and glorify Him with all their heart, soul, mind and strength. We also seek to share Christ with the lost so they will be saved. We do this through fun, upbeat, Christ-centered worship songs and moves that engage our young audiences. You can check out our music via iTunes, on the album, iMission. Please contact Sharon Strum at firstname.lastname@example.org for more info.
